About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and organised Activities Coordinator to join our Retirement Living team, supporting tenants at our retirement living service at Wohl Court in Hendon. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of older people by creating and delivering a varied programme of activities, events and social opportunities that promote wellbeing, independence, social inclusion and community engagement. Working closely with tenants, families, volunteers and colleagues, you will develop person-centred activities that reflect individual interests, abilities and cultural needs while helping residents maintain meaningful connections with Jewish life and the wider community.

Your responsibilities will include planning, coordinating and delivering a diverse programme of recreational, educational, therapeutic, cultural and social activities. You will support tenants to maintain independence, wellbeing and meaningful social connections, organise outings and events that reflect Jewish festivals and traditions, and develop activity support plans and risk assessments tailored to individual needs. Encouraging participation and ensuring activities are inclusive and accessible for people with varying abilities, including those living with dementia, will be key.

You will recruit, support and coordinate volunteers contributing to activity programmes, build strong relationships with families, carers, community groups and external partners, produce newsletters and communications to promote activities, monitor participation, gather feedback and evaluate outcomes to continuously improve services. Managing activity resources and budgets in partnership with the Registered Manager and ensuring all activities and outings are delivered safely and in line with organisational policies and procedures are also essential parts of the role.
