Location
Stanwell, covering the geographical areas of Runnymede, Spelthorne and Woking. The role requires travel and case holding across the wider area with an expectation to spend 2 days per week in the office.

Salary
£34,350 per annum based on a 25 hour working week (pro rata to full-time salary of £49,464)
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Social Worker with a passion and drive for improving the lives of others to join our West 2 Area Team. You will assess the social care needs of service users and provide direct social work intervention to some of the most challenging and complex cases and their carers. Using a strength-based approach, you will support individuals to live as independently as possible with more choice and control. You will supervise and support staff, work flexibly in a challenging environment, and benefit from a structured induction programme. The role involves duty oversight as well as managing long-term complex cases within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment. You will be well supported with regular supervision, management support, and peer-to-peer learning. The team works closely with Health colleagues to enable a positive and collaborative approach. This is an excellent opportunity for registered Social Workers looking to develop experience while remaining closely connected to frontline social work practice.

Additional Information
An enhanced DBS check and Children’s and Adults’ Barred List checks are required. Experience
Substantial post-qualification professional experience as a social worker is required.
Experience of providing professional supervision, including to unqualified or non-professional staff.
Sound knowledge and experience of current legislation and its application in social care settings.
Applied knowledge of The Care Act and The Mental Capacity Act.
Experience undertaking safeguarding enquiries and working in complex situations using professional judgement and a range of interventions.
Experience providing professional, reflective supervision, guidance, and advice to less experienced social workers, including ASYE and social work students.
