About the Role
Working alongside the Team Manager, you will manage a complex caseload, support and mentor colleagues, champion high-quality safeguarding practice, and contribute to service improvement and development. Your key responsibilities will include managing complex safeguarding and child protection cases, supervising, coaching and mentoring Social Workers, ASYEs and students, chairing complex meetings and contributing to safeguarding decision-making. You will prepare high-quality reports for Court and Child Protection Conferences, support practice development and service improvement, build effective partnerships with children, families and partner agencies, and deputise for the Team Manager when required.

Experience
Significant experience in statutory Children's Social Care. Strong safeguarding, child protection and court experience. Experience of supervising or mentoring others.

About you
Excellent assessment, analytical and decision-making skills. Good knowledge of children's legislation and safeguarding practice.

Qualifications
A recognised Social Work qualification and Social Work England registration.
