About the Role
This senior role is expected to act as the lead Radiation Waste Advisor (RWA). Candidates with Radiation Protection Advisor (RPA) and Nuclear Medicine Medical Physics Expert (MPE) qualifications are highly desirable. The postholder will provide MPE support for Nuclear Medicine to an external client and work closely with the GSTT Nuclear Medicine team and the King’s College London PET centre team. Key responsibilities include advising on compliance with the Environmental Permitting Regulations and contributing to the design of laboratories and radionuclide facilities, such as those used for radionuclide therapies. The role also involves undertaking line management functions, supporting and leading teams within the department.

Requirements

Experience
- Detailed experience advising on compliance with Environmental Permitting Regulations
- Experience in the design of laboratories and radionuclide facilities (e.g. radionuclide therapies) is advantageous
- Proven ability to provide expert MPE support in Nuclear Medicine

About you
- Strong leadership skills with line management experience
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams including external clients and internal departments
- Highly motivated with excellent communication and advisory skills

Qualifications
- RPA and Nuclear Medicine MPE qualifications are highly desirable
