About the Role
Are you a tenacious and highly skilled professional with a passion for creating safer communities? Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing (MTVH) is seeking a confident problem solver to take the lead on tackling anti-social behaviour and supporting lease enforcement as a Tenancy Enforcement Lead (Anti-Social Behaviour Officer). In this pivotal role, you will provide specialist knowledge and expert advice to ensure enforcement actions are proportionate, effective, and legally compliant. You will oversee day-to-day cases through planned reviews and lead on complex cases involving leaseholders and occasionally tenants. Working closely with external agencies such as the Police, Local Stakeholders, Council Community Safety Teams, Tenancy Fraud Team, and managing agents, you will manage high-level anti-social behaviour cases, investigate lease fraud, and enforce lease conditions across a national portfolio. This role is not just about enforcement but also about helping residents build sustainable lives and addressing complex issues including gang culture and organised crime. Your ability to build strong networks and partnerships will be crucial in driving impactful change.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead investigations into lease fraud and manage high-level ASB cases
- Investigate reports, gather evidence, prepare witness statements, and compile legal packs for court cases
- Provide specialist knowledge and guidance to colleagues through mentoring to achieve positive customer outcomes
- Conduct regular reviews of ASB cases with Local Housing Managers to ensure compliance and provide strategic guidance
- Collaborate with law enforcement and community organisations to enhance neighbourhood safety
Experience
- Proven experience in anti-social behaviour management, safeguarding, and tenancy fraud investigations
- Understanding of housing and enforcement legislation
- Experience working with external agencies such as Police, Probation, Housing or Enforcement Agencies is desirable due to transferable skills
