About the Role
We are looking for an Assistant Communications Officer to join the National Theatre's Communications team. This hands-on role requires a proactive, can-do approach to support the execution of creative media campaigns alongside administrative and operational activities that deliver the National Theatre’s communications strategy. Working closely with the Communications Manager, Corporate and Campaigns, you will support integrated press and communications campaigns across key priorities, especially around our Learning programmes. You will also underpin the administrative needs of the wider Communications team and collaborate with the Show Publicity team to support campaigns across our three stages and on tour. Responsibilities include preparing and distributing press and internal materials, facilitating interview logistics, handling enquiries and requests, maintaining records and documents, processing and archiving production and publicity images, delivering business processes, monitoring media coverage, supporting events, and undertaking research.

Experience
Experience in PR, media or internal communications is essential.

Demonstrable planning, administrative and organisational skills including the ability to manage a busy workload, multiple priorities, deadlines and fast-changing demands. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Meticulous attention to detail combined with the ability to respond to daily demands effectively and efficiently.
