About the Role
We are looking for an Assistant Internal Communications Officer to join the National Theatre's Communications team. This role plays a key part in supporting the continued development and establishment of the Internal Communications function at the National Theatre. With around 1,000 staff and many freelancers working with the NT each year, this is a large and varied internal audience. Working closely with the Internal Communications Manager, you will help deliver clear, timely and engaging communications that keep colleagues informed, involved and connected to the organisation and its work.
A central focus of the role will be supporting the coordination and delivery of regular and ad hoc staff events, including Company Meetings, Senior Management Forums and Town Halls. You will draft and support the delivery of communications plans, creating clear, accessible and inclusive content for the intranet, newsletters, internal emails and digital screens. Additionally, you will support the administrative needs of the Internal Communications team and wider Communications team, helping to keep work organised and on track.
This is a key moment for the National Theatre as it continues to build a more connected, transparent and inclusive culture. Working in partnership with the People & Culture team and colleagues across the organisation, you will help foster authentic, values-driven dialogue, support stakeholders to engage colleagues confidently and help bring the NT’s purpose to life for everyone who works here.
