About the Role
HES Catering Services is the Local Authority provider of school meals for the London Borough of Havering, working in partnership with local schools and academies to provide award-winning meals and services. We supply a wide range of high quality catering services to the majority of schools within the borough and also support other schools and businesses with bespoke solutions.

As an Assistant Cook, you will undertake the preparation, simple cooking, and serving of food and beverages in accordance with the Council’s contractual arrangements. You will be part of a dedicated team preparing healthy, fresh, vibrant, and tasty meals using the highest quality produce, serving over 15,000 meals per day across our schools.

Experience
No direct staffing responsibilities. Experience in a catering environment is desirable but not essential.

About you
You will report to the Cook Supervisor or Higher Graded Operative and work as defined on the staffing profile. You should be reliable, motivated, and able to work effectively as part of a team in a busy school catering environment.
