About the Role
SES Engineering Services is seeking a talented Assistant Digital Technologist to join our Digital team, supporting the delivery of innovative digital products, technologies and solutions across projects and programmes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your career within one of the UK's leading engineering and construction businesses. You will work alongside experienced digital specialists to implement cutting-edge tools and processes that enhance project delivery and create smarter, more connected buildings. As part of a skilled, inclusive and forward-thinking team, you will support the delivery and coordination of digital initiatives, contributing to SES's Digital First strategy.
Key responsibilities include supporting the setup, testing and implementation of digital technologies within Digital Buildings, Digital Developments, Digital Services and Digital Standards. You will assist with Common Data Environment (CDE) setup, digital workflow integration, automation routines, reporting, data visualisation, and immersive technology deployment such as Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR) and Mixed Reality (MR). You will collaborate with project teams and digital specialists to integrate digital tools and workflows, support digital development activities through reporting and user feedback analysis, and help maintain digital continuity throughout project lifecycles from design to delivery and handover. Additionally, you will support the implementation of smart building technologies and sensor-enabled environments.

Experience
- Interest in digital engineering, digital construction, BIM, information management or related technologies.
- Awareness of low code applications, digital construction tools, data management processes and information standards (examples include Morta, Power Apps, Dalux, Power BI).
- Understanding of how technology can improve project delivery within construction and engineering environments.
- Experience using Microsoft 365 applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint.
- Desirable experience includes low code development (Morta, Power Apps), exposure to Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Solibri or similar digital design platforms, knowledge of Power BI or other reporting/dashboarding tools, experience of Common Data Environments and information management processes, familiarity with VR, AR, MR, Twinmotion, Synchro, Unreal Engine or Unity, and awareness of smart building technologies and connected systems.
