About the Role
As an Assistant Psychologist at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, you will support psychological therapists in delivering assessments and interventions, including risk assessments, neuropsychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales, observations, and semi-structured interviews under supervision. You will assist in formulating and delivering care, training, or research plans within challenging environments and contribute to evidence-based psychological interventions. Your role will also involve developing psychologically based frameworks of understanding and care to benefit service users, conducting literature searches, collating audit and outcome evidence, analysing data, and producing reports to enhance service delivery. You will participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and contribute to service development projects, clinical and professional audits, and training support for other staff. Additionally, you will assist in the design and implementation of audit and research projects, including data collection, analysis, and report production using IT and statistical programs. You will manage clinical administration, maintain records and statistics, prepare materials for clinical groups, and ensure compliance with Trust and Psychology policies. You will be expected to report incidents promptly and manage diaries, work plans, and project plans as required.

Experience
Previous experience in psychological assessment or therapy support is desirable but not essential. Experience working within NHS or clinical settings will be advantageous.

Qualifications
A degree in Psychology or a related field is required. You should be familiar with the British Psychological Society (BPS) Code of Ethics and Conduct and the Division of Clinical Psychology Professional Practice Guidelines. Commitment to ongoing professional development and clinical supervision is expected.
