Hours
Minimum contract length of 52 weeks, starting September 2026. Based on 42 hours plus 3 hours of overtime and 6 bank holidays.

Salary
£900 per week as a buy-out (£46,800 per year) based on Equity ASM minimum for Category C Theatres.

About the Role
You will report to the Company Manager and Stage Manager, liaising directly with all departments on stage including cast, lighting, sound, automation, wardrobe, and WHAM. The stage management team oversees all aspects of the physical production of CABARET during performance, rehearsal, and ongoing maintenance and repair. Responsibilities include managing the movement of props, furniture, and actors on and off stage to ensure smooth running of performances. Teamwork, strong communication skills, and a positive attitude are essential. As this is a book cover role, show calling experience is required.

Additionally, you will support the prologue performance that occurs as the audience enters the venue, involving a separate cast from the scripted show. Duties include ensuring smooth running of this performance, assisting with some audience management alongside the FOH team, and managing props and cast welfare in coordination with the Company and Stage Manager.

Experience
Previous experience as an Assistant Stage Manager plus some experience as a Book Cover is essential.

You are a reliable team player with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude. You are capable of working under pressure and managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Experience in show calling and stage management within a professional theatre environment is required.
