About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Analyst to join our Customer & Loyalty Analytics team within the Nectar Partnerships Analytics group. You will drive impact through analytics by deriving insightful findings and contributing to actionable recommendations. This role involves working closely with partners to understand their customers, interactions with Nectar, and purchase behaviours. You will apply foundational coding skills, data visualisation, and analytical methodologies to deliver customer and marketing analytics and reporting. The role offers the opportunity to work with one of the richest retail datasets in the UK, spanning Sainsbury's, Argos, Habitat, and Nectar, enabling you to tackle complex challenges, create measurable impact, and grow alongside talented colleagues. You will be part of a team powering Sainsbury's Next Level Strategy through advanced analytics, AI, and data-driven decision making.
Experience
Experience or exposure to SQL with foundational knowledge of functions, code structure, and logic. Previous analytical experience demonstrating the application of insight to address business questions is desirable.

Qualifications
A university degree (2:1 or higher preferred) with a numerate background is desirable but not mandatory. Basic coding knowledge, ideally SQL, with interest in other tools such as Python. Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau is advantageous. Understanding of common analytical methodologies with the ability to explain them accurately and clearly. Awareness of data limitations, operational governance, and adherence to data protection and security policies.
