About the Role
Southwark Council is seeking an Audio Visual (AV) Manager to lead and shape AV services across some of London’s most iconic civic sites. You will provide strategic leadership and hands-on oversight to deliver seamless, cutting-edge AV experiences for meetings, events, and high-profile engagements. This role offers the opportunity to work at the heart of London’s civic life, engaging with senior stakeholders, elected members, and external partners. You will manage and develop a talented AV Services Team, drive continuous innovation, and ensure excellent customer service. Responsibilities include managing AV assets, coordinating technician rotas, overseeing health and safety compliance, and maintaining strong relationships with external AV suppliers. Requirements

Experience
- Strong knowledge of modern Audio-Visual systems, trends, and event technology.
- Substantial hands-on AV and event production experience, ideally in-house or with an AV supplier.
- Proven track record managing sound, lighting, and IT for large-scale events.
- Experience in budget setting, control, and monitoring.

Qualifications
No specific qualifications are mandated, but relevant AV certifications or technical qualifications would be advantageous.
