About the Role
Step into a senior role that makes a lasting impact. We are seeking experienced social workers ready to take the next step in their career and play a key role in shaping high-quality, person-centred care for adults in Southwark. As a Deputy Team Manager, also known as a Senior Social Worker, you will hold a meaningful senior position while remaining close to frontline practice and the people we support.
You will be an essential part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team, working alongside skilled colleagues to support adults with physical disabilities, older people, adults with dementia, and carers. Your expertise and leadership will be vital in managing complex cases, supporting less experienced team members, and fostering a collaborative and supportive culture.
Southwark Council offers a stable, secure role with clear pathways for progression, generous benefits including annual leave and pension, funded training and CPD including leadership programmes, flexible and hybrid working options, and strong professional support from our Principal Social Worker and Occupational Therapist.
