About the Role
Are you ready to play a key role in delivering Southwark’s 2030 commitment to making our borough safer by tackling crime and anti-social behaviour? As a Senior Anti-Social Behaviour Officer, you will be part of the Community Protection management team, playing an integral part in delivering a Safer Southwark.
You will take day-to-day autonomous operational decisions to maintain service delivery, provide direction, supervision and support to a team of Anti-Social Behaviour Officers, and develop and implement strategies to address complex casework and wider incidents of disorder.
You will contribute to the strategic objectives of the Community Safety Partnership (CSP), taking the lead on specific portfolio work, developing best practices and service improvements in line with legislative and policy changes.
Acting as the interface for the Southwark Anti-Social Behaviour Unit (SASBU) with other community safety forums, you will coordinate activities of partnership agencies on an area or thematic basis to achieve identified outcomes.
Working as part of a multi-agency unit, you will develop and maintain external links with statutory, voluntary and community groups to progress holistic strategies for dealing with specific incidents of anti-social behaviour.

Experience
- Extensive knowledge of current criminal and civil legislation and contracts relevant to anti-social behaviour across all tenure types.
- Proven understanding of good practice in anti-social behaviour strategies and operational procedures.
- Experience managing staff and setting and monitoring performance targets.
- Substantial experience working within multi-disciplinary teams, ideally in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
- Ability to manage competing priorities under pressure to meet deadlines and performance targets.
