About the Role
As a Senior Azure Platform Engineer and Cloud Consultant, you will play a crucial role in guiding our customers on their journey to Cloud and DevOps maturity. Leveraging your expertise in cloud technologies and best practices, you will work closely with clients to architect, implement, and optimise solutions tailored to their unique needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and deliver exceptional value to our customers.

The interview process includes a 4-stage approach: a discovery conversation with Talent Acquisition, a paired technical assessment with the Engineering team, a technical interview deep dive with Practice Leadership, and a competency-focused final interview with Engineering Leadership.

Important: You must either hold active UK Security Clearance (SC) or be eligible for SC. Eligibility requires a British Passport or Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR), residency in the UK for at least the last 5 years, no criminal records, and no financial irregularities.

About You
You’ll be passionate about new technology and automation, experienced in working within an Engineering Team following Agile and DevOps best practices. You should be able to demonstrate:
- Knowledge of continuous integration and deployment practices
- Ability to collaborate with people of all technical levels
- Understanding of industry best practices
- Project management experience
- Excellent people skills, including the ability to motivate a team towards a common goal

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to assess current infrastructure, identify improvement opportunities, and develop tailored cloud and DevOps strategies
- Design and implement scalable, resilient, and secure cloud-native solutions using industry best practices and cutting-edge technologies
- Lead implementation of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices to streamline development and deployment
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering continuous learning and professional growth
- Engage with stakeholders to understand business requirements, prioritise initiatives, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives
- Contribute to Statements of Work (SOW) and lead small projects ensuring deliverables meet scope, budget, and timeline
- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in cloud computing and DevOps, contributing to internal knowledge sharing and thought leadership

Skills
- Platform Engineering: Proficiency in designing and implementing scalable, resilient, and secure cloud platforms
- Automation: Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible
- Container Orchestration: Knowledge of Kubernetes and managed services like AKS
- Public Cloud Expertise: Strong understanding of Azure cloud services, architecture, and best practices
- DevOps Practices: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and containerisation technologies like Docker

Experience
- Proven project leadership delivering cloud migration, optimisation, or transformation projects
- Client-facing experience with a track record of understanding requirements and delivering solutions that exceed expectations
- Effective team collaboration and communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development

Qualifications
Certification in relevant cloud technologies at associate level is highly desirable, for example:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate

Certification in Kubernetes administration is also desirable:
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
- Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKSS)
