About the Role
Are you skilled at shaping messages into clear, compelling communications? Do you love crafting content that connects, inspires and makes people feel seen and understood? If you’re a creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and a gift for making the complex feel clear, we have the role for you.

We’re looking for a Brand and Content Writer who can lead how we communicate across our websites and help others find their voice. Planning, developing and delivering a digital content strategy, you’ll ensure we connect and build trust with our key audiences. You’ll be part of a supportive, purpose-driven team that values curiosity, kindness and collaboration.

This is more than a writing role. It’s a chance to lead and create content that truly makes a difference to people’s lives. The role is fast-paced and strategic, as well as very hands-on. You’ll need to see the bigger picture while delivering high-quality, meaningful content.

Key responsibilities include:
- Leading our website content strategy, initially focusing around 80% of your time on refreshing and modernising our website with clear, concise, engaging and inclusive content that puts residents at the heart of the experience.
- Bringing our refreshed tone of voice to life and championing its rollout across the organisation.
- Collaborating across teams to ensure a joined-up, human-centred experience for residents, colleagues and stakeholders.
- Coaching and supporting colleagues to write with clarity, confidence and care.
- Creating practical resources such as toolkits, templates and guides to help teams communicate effectively.

Our values you will embody:
- Be kind: thoughtful and empathetic in every interaction.
- Do the right thing: act with integrity and always put residents first.
- Love new ideas: curious and always looking for ways to improve.
- Celebrate diversity: value different perspectives and help create belonging.
- Keep our promises: do what you say you will.
- Pull together: collaborate and seek diverse views, even in challenging situations.

Requirements

Experience
Proven experience in brand and content writing, ideally with a focus on digital content strategy and website management. Ability to create engaging, clear, and inclusive content that resonates with diverse audiences.

About you
You are a creative thinker and storyteller with a passion for making complex information accessible and engaging. You thrive in a fast-paced, strategic environment and enjoy collaborating across teams. You demonstrate empathy, integrity, curiosity, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.

You must have the right to work in the UK and be able to work in the office at least two days per week.

Qualifications
Relevant qualifications in marketing, communications, journalism, or related fields are desirable but not essential. A portfolio or published work demonstrating your writing skills is required as part of the application.
