About the Role
As an Area Manager at Peabody, you will play a crucial role in delivering our customer services ambition by managing, supporting, and motivating a team of Neighbourhood Managers to provide a high-performance, customer-focused housing service. You will embed the Better Together culture and ensure staff demonstrate our values by working in Simple, Safe, and Smart ways.

You will provide housing operations expertise to housing teams and the wider business, using data and insights to understand customers in your area. A key responsibility will be leading the implementation and delivery of housing management services at Dagenham Green, a new multi-tenure development in East London.

We are looking for an energetic and inspiring leader with a strong track record of delivering excellent customer service and tangible outcomes. You will represent Peabody at relevant forums and develop strong relationships that benefit both Peabody and our customers. You will also contribute to continuous service improvement by leading projects and ongoing tasks, ensuring effective budget management and input into annual budget and service charge setting.

Requirements

Experience
- Proven experience in staff management or leadership.
- Experience managing community safety and tenancies.
- Strong knowledge of housing legislation, regulatory standards, and good practice.
- Skilled in conflict management and diffusing difficult or challenging situations.
- Proficient in using a wide range of IT software packages.
- Knowledgeable of relevant legislation including the Anti-Social Behaviour Act 2014, Care Act 2014, and Children’s Act 1989.

- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to influence, negotiate, and persuade.
- Professional approach to conflict management and administrative processes.
- Ability to conduct systematic investigations.

Qualifications
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferable.
- This role requires a Basic DBS check.
- Right to work in the UK is essential; visa sponsorship is not provided.
