About the Role
We are seeking three technically skilled and detail-oriented Compliance Quality Assurance Inspectors to join Peabody's Mechanical Compliance team. In this role, you will support the delivery of safe, compliant mechanical services across our housing portfolio, ensuring all mechanical plant and equipment meet statutory and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with contractors, engineers, and internal teams to carry out inspections, audits, and investigations to maintain high standards of safety and service.

Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting audits and inspections of mechanical services, including domestic and commercial gas systems, managing physical inspection regimes, reviewing service failures, and monitoring contractor performance. You will ensure proper handover procedures, update asset registers, and obtain O&M manuals where required. Additionally, you will analyse performance data to identify maintenance or investment needs and investigate incidents using recognised techniques such as RoSPA. Providing expert advice on health and safety compliance and liaising with the Health and Safety team to maintain high levels of gas compliance across the organisation are key aspects of this role.

Requirements

Experience
- Gas Safe registration with experience in domestic and commercial boilers
- Strong technical knowledge of gas services and mechanical & electrical systems
- Experience working in social housing or with contractors in a housing environment is desirable
- Up-to-date understanding of health and safety legislation and building services compliance

- Proven ability to manage customer relationships and communicate effectively under pressure
- Detail-oriented with strong investigative and analytical skills
- Committed to maintaining high standards of safety and compliance

Qualifications
- Gas Safe registration is essential
- Relevant technical qualifications in mechanical or electrical systems are advantageous
