About the Role
In this senior advisory role, you will provide strategic policy and political insight, working closely with elected Members, senior officers and external partners to ensure effective decision-making and delivery. You will help shape policy, coordinate Cabinet business, develop high-quality briefings, and ensure priorities are translated into tangible outcomes for residents. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role at the heart of local government, helping to shape and deliver Newham's vision of building a fairer borough for all residents. Interviews will take place in person between 17th and 28th August.

Experience
Strong understanding of local government, governance and the political environment. Experience advising senior leaders in a strategic or political setting.

About you
Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills. Able to thrive in a fast-paced, politically sensitive environment. Highly organised, proactive and solutions-focused.
