About the Role
Join us and help build a fairer Newham through investment, co-production, and continuous development of our Circle of Support practice model, which centres on systemic and restorative practice alongside a specialist support offer for practitioners. OFSTED has recognised Newham's clinical team and social work academy as strengthening practice and fostering a culture of learning and development.

Our Children in Care teams provide statutory services to children in our care, their families, and support networks. Social Workers in this role create Circles of Support to ensure children's happiness and safety while the Council acts as corporate parent. You will work restoratively, using systemic tools and ideas, and contribute to a team culture where good practice thrives.

This role offers a unique development opportunity as the service manages the majority of court work related to care proceedings. You will receive full support from senior colleagues, Assistant Team Managers, Team Managers, Practice Development Social Workers, a comprehensive CP Chair service, and a Clinical Team of experienced Family Therapists.

We value your wellbeing and promote a better work/life balance through remote working when not visiting children and families, access to modern office spaces, a flexible working policy, and clinical support to help you deliver your best work.
