About the Role
The postholder will work within the AID-IIT to provide highly specialist psychology assessments, interventions, and support within a multi-disciplinary team. Responsibilities include offering assessment (including cognitive and psychometric assessments where needed) and intervention to young people with highly complex presentations, their families/carers, and wider networks. The role involves providing clinical supervision, consultation, and training, contributing to care planning by attending CETRs, CPAs, and other professional/network meetings. The postholder will use routine outcome measures and contribute to service evaluation, audit, and research. They will oversee good clinical governance and contribute to the leadership of the team, including service development, planning, and the supervision and recruitment of more junior staff within AID-IIT. The role requires working as an autonomous professional within professional guidelines and codes of conduct, guided by service policies and procedures, taking responsibility for own work including treatment and discharge decisions with clinical supervisor support. Flexibility is required to work across settings, including outreach work in inpatient settings, family homes, and community settings across London as needed.

Requirements

Experience
Experience in highly specialist clinical or counselling psychology within child and adolescent mental health services, including conducting complex assessments and interventions.

Qualifications
Registered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist with relevant professional accreditation and experience in CAMHS or related specialist services.
