About the Role
We are recruiting for an experienced multi-skilled Carpenter with a background in social housing or local authority environments. You will undertake carpentry and other trade repairs and maintenance work, delivering high quality, ‘right first time’, and cost-effective building services to the business and its customers. The role requires working in accordance with current legislation, British Standards, Codes of Practice, safe systems of work, and recognised industrial standards, while minimizing damage to the fabric of the property.

You will be provided with a company vehicle (Metworks van), full uniform, all required PPE, and the latest handheld technology. The role also offers access to regular employee forums and feedback groups.

Additional Information
To meet our commitment to safe, high quality services, a standard background check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) will be completed once an offer is made. You will be added to the DBS updating service with checks every three years. The organisation covers the cost of the DBS check.

Experience
Proven experience as a multi-skilled Carpenter, ideally within social housing or local authority environments. Ability to undertake associated trade tasks within competency.

Qualifications
NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent in carpentry or related trade.

You must hold a full driving licence as the role requires driving a company vehicle. You should be committed to delivering high quality workmanship, working safely and in compliance with legislation and standards. A proactive and customer-focused attitude is essential to succeed in this role.
