About the Role
We are recruiting for an experienced multi-skilled Carpenter with a background in social housing or local authority environments. You will undertake carpentry and associated trade repairs and maintenance work, delivering high quality, ‘right first time’, and cost-effective building services to the business and its customers. You will conduct work in accordance with current legislation, British Standards, Codes of Practice, safe systems of work, and recognised industrial standards, ensuring minimal damage to the fabric of the property.
As part of your role, you will be provided with a company vehicle (Metworks van) for working hours and all necessary PPE, uniform, and the latest handheld technology. You will also have access to regular employee forums and feedback groups to support your engagement and development.
To meet our commitment to safe, high-quality services, a standard level background check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) will be completed once an offer is made. The organisation covers the cost of the DBS check and you will be added to the DBS updating service with checks every three years.

Experience
Proven experience as a multi-skilled Carpenter, ideally within social housing or local authority settings. Ability to undertake associated trade tasks within competency and relevant long-term trade experience is essential.
About you
Experienced in carpentry with extended skills, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality work. You must be able to work safely and efficiently, adhering to all relevant standards and legislation.
Qualifications
NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent in carpentry or related trade is required. A full UK driving licence is essential as you will be provided with a company vehicle for work duties.
