Housing Officer
Location
Covering Hemel Hempstead & Broxbourne with 1 day per week in our Southgate Office, N14 6PW.
Hours
Full Time - 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, predominantly office hours 9:00am to 5:30pm. Flexibility with hours to be discussed at interview. The role involves 3 days on-site, 1 day in-house at the Southgate office, and home working. Occasional evening work may be required to support local initiatives.
Salary

About the Role
Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing (MTVH) is seeking a skilled and experienced Local Housing Manager to deliver excellent housing and estate services across a defined geographical patch covering postcode areas EN8, EN11, SG12, SG2, CM12, HP2, HP3, WD5 & WD19. As the front-facing representative of MTVH, you will coordinate internal and external services to meet the diverse needs of our customers, delivering high-quality services both individually and locally. This role requires managing relationships with Local Authorities and other Housing Association partners, handling complex anti-social behaviour complaints, estate services, tenancy management, tenancy enforcement, and lettings management. You will be expected to work collaboratively within the community and contribute to local initiatives, ensuring a high standard of service delivery aligned with MTVH’s values of Care, Dare, and Collaborate.
Experience
- Proven experience working in a social housing setting is essential
- Experience working within a supported housing environment is desirable
- Experience dealing with customers presenting complex or challenging needs
- Strong administration skills including analysing customer feedback to improve services
- Experience managing face-to-face customer interactions and responding to enquiries by phone and in writing
- Ability to self-manage a varied and demanding workload, prioritising and organising effectively
- Experience managing projects and reporting against agreed targets
- Excellent office management skills including managing inboxes and keys
