About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, organised, and proactive Catering Storeman to join our Workplace team at the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for managing stock, receiving and distributing deliveries, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring ward supplies and kitchen operations run smoothly. Working closely with the catering, domestic services, and management teams, you will play a vital role in supporting patient dining services and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key responsibilities include managing goods receiving and stock control, inspecting and recording deliveries, maintaining accurate inventory records using FIFO procedures, coordinating ward and catering supplies through DISH and SAFFRON systems, and ensuring storerooms are clean, secure, and compliant with food safety and health and safety standards. You will also complete documentation and compliance tasks and provide support across wider catering operations including Reed's Café and kitchen areas.

Experience
Previous experience in stores, warehouse, logistics, catering stores, or stock control roles with an understanding of inventory management processes is essential.

About you
You will have strong organisational skills with the ability to manage stock effectively, maintain accurate records, prioritise workloads, and ensure timely completion of tasks. Physical fitness and the ability to safely carry out manual handling duties throughout the working day are required. You should be competent in using inventory management systems and basic computer applications for stock control, ordering, and record-keeping.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential as you will work collaboratively with catering, domestic services, ward teams, and management. A flexible, positive, and customer-focused approach with a proactive attitude and willingness to support different areas of the catering operation is important to deliver high-quality service to meet patient needs.
