About the Role
Join Havering Adult College as a Centre Support Advisor and be the first point of contact, helping learners achieve their ambitions. This permanent role offers an exciting opportunity to support learners, promote courses, and ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of our centres.
As a Centre Support Advisor, you will provide information, guidance, and administrative support while creating a welcoming and professional environment for all visitors. You will work closely with learners, teachers, and managers to deliver excellent customer service and support high-quality adult education.
Key responsibilities include providing a friendly front-line service to learners and the public, responding to enquiries face-to-face, by telephone and email, promoting courses through events and engagement activities, supporting enrolment and fee processes, processing payments and maintaining financial records, providing administrative support, opening and closing centres, assisting with room preparation, supporting quality assurance, safeguarding and health and safety processes, maintaining accurate learner records, and supporting marketing and learner engagement activities.
The role requires a strong understanding of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and a clear appreciation of safeguarding responsibilities when working with adults, young people, and vulnerable learners.
Experience
Experience working in a customer-facing environment is essential. Experience within an education or training environment is advantageous but not required.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and other digital systems

Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required
Ability to travel between College sites when necessary
Qualifications
Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent
