About the Role
At HC-One, kindness is at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for a dedicated Chef who can bring their skills and passion for food into our care home kitchen. You’ll play a vital role in preparing and serving wholesome, homemade meals that not only meet nutritional needs but also bring comfort and enjoyment to our Residents every day. You will be responsible for menu planning, preparing nutritious and appetising dishes, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and kitchen practice. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, so you will be expected to recognise signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect and know how to respond appropriately. Experience
Experienced cook with a recognised qualification in catering or professional cookery.

You bring creativity to menu planning and pride in presenting nutritious and appetising dishes. You are confident in maintaining food safety standards and have a genuine passion for making mealtimes special for our Residents. You understand the importance of safeguarding and are able to seek advice and report concerns appropriately.

Qualifications
Recognised qualification such as S/NVQ2 in Catering & Hospitality or Professional Cookery.
Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
Sound understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP).
