About the Role
Are you passionate about making a positive difference in children's lives in Southwark? We are seeking qualified social workers to join our Safeguarding & Family Support Service to help ensure children in Southwark are safe and happy at home. You will work within a systemically-informed, relationship-based approach that prioritises each child's needs, working purposefully with families to manage risk, promote positive outcomes, and create lasting change.
As a Social Worker or Senior Social Worker, you will build positive relationships and work directly with children, their families, and partner agencies under the guidance of experienced Team Managers. You will run child in need and child protection plans tailored to each child's unique needs and be the driving force behind positive change. Experience of child protection, child in need, and court work is essential.
You will join a friendly, dedicated team committed to positive outcomes for children and families, supported through regular one-to-one and group supervisions, alongside access to key development and training opportunities to grow professionally.
Our Children's Services have been graded ‘good’ in all areas by Ofsted, with children in our care describing the council as a “special council and like a family to them.”
