About the Role
At Zego, we are transforming motor insurance by offering the lowest priced insurance for good drivers. Since 2016, we have sold tens of millions of policies and raised over $200 million in funding, earning awards such as Insurance Claims Team Of The Year 2024. We are looking for a proactive and analytical Claims Data Analyst to enhance our Claims and Fraud operations within a fast-growing, product-led tech company.

In this role, you will design and build core data models and reports to support Claims and Fraud teams, develop key reports for senior stakeholders including leadership, investors, and insurance partners, and analyze performance to identify trends and optimize processes. You will spot and size opportunities for continuous improvement, support strategic decision-making, and translate complex data into compelling stories for senior management. Collaboration across Claims, Fraud, Pricing, and external reporting teams is essential.

If you thrive in a fast-paced, data-centric environment and want to make a real impact on claims operations, this is the role for you.

Benefits
Private medical insurance, company share options, generous holiday allowance, wellbeing benefits, and a supportive, inclusive culture. We provide tools, support, and freedom to do meaningful work. We cover travel costs for company-wide events and provide a hybrid working contribution.

Requirements

Experience
Proven skills in SQL for data extraction and manipulation. Experience building data models, reports, and dashboards using Power BI. Ability to analyze data and identify trends to optimize processes.

About you
Strong data storytelling skills to translate complex insights into clear, engaging narratives for senior stakeholders including managers, investors, board members, and insurance partners. Proactive, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Bonus points for knowledge of motor insurance market dynamics and commercial performance drivers.

Qualifications
Degree preferred but equivalent experience accepted (STEM subjects a plus). Familiarity with claims processes, reserving, settlements, and actuarial knowledge is advantageous. Ability to act as a bridge between Claims, Fraud, and Actuarial teams is highly desirable.
