Description
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Client Project Manager to join the Education Capital Delivery team to assist Enfield in continuing to provide excellent environments for teaching and learning for the benefit of both pupils and staff at our schools. The work of this team contributes toward our young people achieving positive outcomes from their time spent within education in the Borough.
We are keen to recruit a highly motivated individual to contribute towards the preparation and delivery of our Schools Capital Programme to ensure suitability, sufficiency and good condition.
You will represent the Education Department as the client commissioner and oversee the delivery of a range of major and complex projects that improve the school’s estate and provide the required pupil places. Key to this role will be to support individual schools as key stakeholders in the development and delivery of capital works schemes.
Projects will range from programmed maintenance works to the provision of additional and appropriate spaces for all users of education buildings through remodelling, refurbishments, extensions and new builds. This role will also be responsible for the strategic planning and delivery of major and complex construction projects for which you will need to have substantial experience of working in the education sector.
We are looking for someone who is experienced in construction related project management and to use this knowledge to ensure that the projects are delivered on time, to budget and to the specifically agreed quality standards.
You must be a team player who has the ability to work across multi-disciplined teams as well as having excellent verbal and written communication skills to support and represent Schools as well as reporting to senior management and Members.
