About the Role
Are you exceptional and want to be part of an exceptional team? An exciting opportunity has arisen at the Enfield Youth Justice Service to support young people involved in crime. Our ambition is to see children as children within youth justice services, treat them fairly, and help them build on their strengths to rehabilitate and make positive contributions to society. This approach aims to prevent offending and create safer communities with fewer victims in Enfield.
You will join a well-resourced service rated as ‘good’ by HMIP, supported by a mature and caring management team with a clear understanding of strengths and areas for development. The role requires a resourceful, organised, and creative individual who excels at forming positive relationships of trust with young people, families, and the community.
The post holder will use a trauma-informed approach to engage young people, offering support, guidance, and advocacy. You will have the confidence and knowledge to challenge views and behaviours that could lead to further offending. Responsibilities include maintaining detailed, accurate, and contemporaneous records of all activities and case progress in both hard copy and electronic formats, in line with target objectives and national standards. You will carry out assessments, deliver interventions, and broker additional support to help young people achieve positive outcomes and prevent re-offending.
