About the Role
Join Enfield Council, an award-winning borough committed to community development and innovation. As a Business Administration Apprentice, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of council services. This position involves direct contact with residents, acting as the first point of contact for Tenants and Leaseholders, and providing excellent customer service. You will collaborate with various teams to resolve issues, provide administrative support across departments including housing and property management, coordinate meetings and take minutes for tenancy and leasehold committees, and maintain accurate records and databases. Flexibility is required to meet customer demand, which may occasionally include evening or weekend work. This is a fixed term full-time contract up to 24 months, offering a valuable opportunity to develop skills and contribute to the community.

Requirements

Experience
An interest in housing or local government context is desirable. Strong organizational and planning skills are essential. Proficiency in MS Office and database management is required. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a positive and proactive attitude. Commitment to public service and community development, especially in relation to Tenants and Leaseholders. Adaptable and flexible to meet the needs of the role and customers.

Qualifications
Candidates must have English and Mathematics GCSE at grade 4 or higher or equivalent. Evidence of Maths and English certificates will be required.
