Climate Change & Sustainability Programme & Partnership Lead, PO7 (£58k - £61k) Closing date Tuesday the 25th of June at midnight. Salary band: PO7 £58-61k Contract type : Permanent Working hours : 35 hours per week, full time, hybrid working. Join Lambeth Council as a Change and Sustainability Programme and Partnerships Lead Lambeth Council was the first London borough to declare a climate emergency and continues to show strong leadership in the critical work of reducing emissions and adapting to climate change. Our sector leading Climate and Sustainability Team is responsible for designing and delivering a wide-ranging programme, including buildings and energy, adaptation and environmental quality. This is an exciting opportunity to continue this important work, focusing on developing partnerships, developing organisational capabilities, and ensuring inclusive engagement with our community. About the role In this role, the candidate will: Provide programme leadership for the council’s climate change response programme; Build organisational capabilities and capacities in service delivery to respond to the climate crisis; Develop and support Lambeth’s Climate Partnership and wider collaborative working opportunities across the sector; Represent the council on sustainability issues at local and regional level in order to influence opportunities, strategies, policies, funding, and codes of practice in ways that best serve the needs of the people of Lambeth; Establish a just and inclusive approach to effective communication and engagement with Lambeth’s residents, businesses, partners and communities. To be considered for interview, your CV and supporting statement will clearly evidence: Proven track record of working in partnership with a wide range of organisations and individuals, including directly with members of the community Experience of managing major programmes Experience of commissioning projects and programmes of work from a range of providers, including contract negotiation and contract management Successful experience of working in an environment where influence, negotiation and persuasion are significant levers to progress A degree level qualification in a relevant discipline and evidence of continuing professional development, or experience and evidence of professional development where no degree is held.
