The Communications and Engagement Support Officer will deliver a variety of activities within the Communications and Engagement team, focusing on communications related to capital, building, and maintenance projects, employee engagement, and the development of visual content for all communications.

The postholder will manage their own workload and be responsible for individual projects, ensuring alignment with the Trust and Essentia service strategies and objectives.

Main duties include:
- Delivering engaging internal communications and organising internal events such as roadshows, employee meetings, and breakfasts.
- Contributing to the writing and production of communications materials including internal newsletters.
- Managing Essentia content for the intranet and other digital platforms.
- Leading the design, production, and delivery of visual communication materials such as posters, marketing materials, and infographics.
- Planning and contributing to staff engagement and communication campaigns on complex programmes.
- Contributing to editorial planning for internal publications and smaller communication materials like leaflets and information notices.

Experience
- Experience in writing articles, newsletters, and promotional materials.
- Experience in visual communications including posters, web content, and newsletters.
- Experience and/or demonstrated interest in communications and engagement.
- Desirable: Experience working in teams and understanding of patient experience.

Qualifications
- Essential: Education to degree level or equivalent experience.
- Essential: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Desirable: Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign) and/or experience with design software such as Canva.

Physical Requirements
- The post requires extensive use of visual display units (VDU).
