The Fire Safety Training Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with legal and statutory fire safety requirements across a complex, multi-site organisation by delivering appropriate training to staff.

The role involves delivering face-to-face Fire Warden training, designing and organising Fire Evacuation Drills for diverse units including high dependency and community settings, providing expert advice, and reporting training metrics to senior management. Experience
Significant experience in the development of Fire Safety Policies and Procedures and in the provision of Fire Safety Training.

About you
You will be accountable and responsible for the planned delivery of a comprehensive fire safety training programme to all Trust colleagues and external bodies requiring such training. You will develop and implement a Fire Safety Training Strategy ensuring compliance with statutory and non-statutory fire safety obligations. You will tailor fire safety training to meet the specific needs of different service areas and staff categories.

Qualifications
Essential: Ability to understand the characteristics of fire, the science of fire prevention, and relevant practices, guidance, and legislation concerning fire safety in healthcare premises.
Desirable: Membership of the Institute of Fire Prevention Officers or the Institute of Fire Safety Managers.
