The King’s Health Partners Cancer Biobank, recently accredited to UKAS ISO 20387:2018 standards, supports translational cancer research nationally and internationally with extensive sample collections and a dedicated team of over 20 staff.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised Biobank Quality Manager to join the expanding KHP Cancer Biobank. This role involves administering the quality management system, conducting audits, overseeing staff training, managing documentation, and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements. You will lead new initiatives to maintain UKAS accreditation standards and report directly to the Biobank Operational Committee.

This specialized position requires expert knowledge of national and international legislation, regulations, and best practices in biobanking. You will implement and maintain quality systems to ISO accreditation standards, manage non-compliance and CAPA reports, and nurture a diverse team to uphold the highest quality standards.

Experience
- Proven quality management experience with strong knowledge of management theory
- Experience conducting audits and CAPA planning
- Experience developing SOPs and quality assurance processes
- Desirable: Experience with UKAS accreditation assessments
- Desirable: Prior experience working in a laboratory environment

Qualifications
- Degree in Life Sciences or equivalent theoretical knowledge
