The Transplant, Renal and Urology directorate is recruiting a Deputy General Manager for Urology. This key leadership role involves managing a world-leading set of benign and cancer Urology services covering diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, prostate, and male reproductive organs. The service includes major outpatient, diagnostic and surgical services, a world-leading robotic surgical programme, and two inpatient wards.

The postholder will be responsible for day-to-day management and delivery of performance targets across Cancer Waiting Times, RTT, and DM01 recovery. They will support improvements in clinical administration processes to enhance effectiveness and patient experience. The role involves collaboration with Lewisham and Greenwich Trust to develop a resilient Urology service, including pathway redesign and organisational development.

The successful candidate will join a collaborative management team and a world-class clinical team including consultants, registrars, nurse specialists, and a skilled multidisciplinary staff. The team is highly engaged, and the role requires an experienced leader with excellent people skills, able to work across organisational boundaries and lead complex change effectively.

Experience
