As a partnership we are focused on tackling violence in all its forms, keeping young people safe and reducing risks from crime, tackling domestic abuse and violence against women and girls, building community cohesion, and tackling hate crime, tackling criminality linked to drug supply and helping people to stay safe in their homes. As Enfield's incoming Community Safety Strategic Lead, you will be building on our excellent partnership work and drive delivery of our Community Safety Plan. You will support Council departments to adopt a comprehensive and joint approach to nurture safe environments within local communities. You will build strong relationships and bridge gaps, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration with vital partners, including the Police, Health, Probation, Fire Service, the Mayor’s Office and Violence Reduction Unit. You will provide advice on crucial safety matters to a variety of stakeholders across Council and partners and enable a problem solving approach to deliver effective community safety solutions. About you: - We seek someone with proven experience of community safety work and a profound understanding of legislative framework that underpins community safety and national policy landscape and its implications for community safety. - You should be a leader skilled in implementing innovative strategics and drive solutions to problems. - You should have a strong track record of fostering impactful partnership work. - You will have excellent analytical skills. - You will need to have innate talent for building positive relationships with Members, colleagues and other key stakeholders. - You should be skilled in developing and implementing innovative strategies within Community Safety. - Navigating Enfield’s unique challenges, it requires more than just knowledge and experience. It demands high level of energy, empathy, creativity, respect for shared experiences, resilience. You will have a can-do attitude to deliver on our ambition and will collaborate effectively with relevant Council departments that have a key stake within community safety and contributions to make, ‘connecting the dots’.
