About the Role
The post holder will provide high-quality care to patients and must be dentally qualified, maintaining GDC registration and being listed on the GDC Oral Medicine specialist list. Responsibilities include continuing clinical responsibility for patients, ensuring prompt attendance at clinical care activities, and involving patients in decisions about their care. The role also encompasses clinical governance, requiring the review of clinical outcomes, participation in audits, and adherence to clinical guidelines. The post holder will collaborate with academic and clinical colleagues for research, provide teaching to dental undergraduates, and participate in performance management, ensuring high clinical efficiency and financial management. Additionally, the role involves strategy and business planning, medical/dental staff management, safeguarding responsibilities, and compliance with health and safety regulations. The post holder is expected to demonstrate leadership skills, work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, and adhere to the Trust's Equal Opportunities Policy.

Requirements

Experience
Experience in clinical governance and audit, along with a strong background in oral medicine is essential.
