About the Role
Are you looking for a challenging role where you can learn new skills and deliver great food? As a Cook with Agincare, you will do more than just cook; you will work closely with our team to provide a high quality of life for our residents. Our community is multicultural, including British, Caribbean, Guyanese, Jamaican, Trinidadian, African (including West African), Asian, and European backgrounds. The ideal candidate will have experience and understanding of a variety of cuisines that reflect these cultural needs.

A day in the life of a Cook includes menu planning in collaboration with the home manager and residents, developing and implementing menu ideas, and showcasing your skills during themed days and events. You will work closely with the wider staff to ensure all residents’ specific nutritional and dietary needs are met, including modified food textures and allergies. You will also be responsible for kitchen management, including stock control and maintaining hygiene standards, acting as the main point of contact for the kitchen.

Experience
A minimum of 12 months’ right to work in the UK is required. Experience working in kitchens and understanding how to run a professional kitchen is essential. Knowledge of the IDDSI framework or experience supporting complex dietary requirements is desirable.

You should be able to work 40 hours per week and have a passion for delivering high-quality food that meets diverse cultural and dietary needs. You will be collaborative, creative, and attentive to detail, especially regarding dietary modifications and allergies.

Qualifications
No specific qualifications are required; however, a background in catering and dietary management is advantageous. Full training and career development opportunities are provided.
