About the Role
We are looking for a Cover Supervisor to join Lift Kingsley and play an important role in keeping students learning when their usual teacher is absent. You'll lead lessons using prepared materials, support students with their work and help create a calm, positive classroom where students can stay focused and engaged.

As a Cover Supervisor, you'll be a familiar and trusted adult who keeps learning on track when teachers are absent. You'll guide students through lessons, support them with their work, and help create a calm and focused space where everyone can learn.

Key responsibilities include:
- Guiding students through pre-prepared lesson materials, answering questions and offering support
- Creating a positive and orderly learning environment where students can focus and achieve
- Supporting students with SEND to understand tasks and meet their individual goals
- Using a variety of approaches to encourage good behaviour, in line with our behaviour policy
- Providing feedback to teachers on how students got on during the lesson
- Completing attendance registers and helping with supervision during break times when needed

Experience
Some background working with children or young people is required. Experience in a classroom or educational setting is beneficial but not necessarily as a qualified teacher.

About you
You should be keen to be in a classroom environment and able to stay calm under pressure. You must be adaptable to different subjects and age groups, patient, empathetic, and able to build positive relationships with all students. Managing challenging situations with professionalism and care is essential. Strong listening, clear communication, and teamwork skills are highly valued.

Qualifications
GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4 or equivalent) are required. You do not need to be a qualified teacher to apply.
