About the Role
Start your teacher training journey with Lift Schools and train to teach Maths through our school-based Initial Teacher Training (ITT) programme. Delivered in partnership with Ark Teacher Training, this salaried route allows you to gain practical classroom experience while working towards your Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). You will spend the majority of your time teaching in the classroom, supported by experienced teachers and mentors, applying pedagogical theory in practice and building your confidence throughout the school year.

Requirements

Experience
No prior teaching experience required; enthusiasm and commitment to becoming a Maths teacher are essential.

- Committed to supporting the whole child and fostering a positive learning environment

Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree with a 2:2 classification or above (or equivalent) by the start of the programme. A degree in Maths, STEM, or a related field is preferred.
- Alternatively, a strong A-Level in Maths (Grade C or above) will be considered.
- GCSEs: Grade 4 (C) or above in GCSE English and Mathematics (or equivalent)
- Right to live and work in the UK for the duration of the training year
- Must not currently hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
