About the Role
Pion produces award-winning technology for some of the biggest retailers globally, connecting them with the youth market. Recognised in The Sunday Times Tech Track 100 2020 as one of the fastest-growing private tech companies in Britain, we continually innovate to deliver solutions that satisfy consumers, drive ROI for clients, and foster an empowering workplace.
As a result of our incredible success and growth, we are seeking a CRM Manager to join our team. In this role, you will own and evolve our core lifecycle journeys including onboarding, activation, engagement, basket abandonment, win-back, and re-engagement—from strategy through build and optimisation. You will plan and execute commercial campaign sends, balancing frequency, relevance, and commercial priorities while maintaining the health of lifecycle programmes.
You will also plan and execute engagement-focused sends in collaboration with wider marketing teams on content, calendar, and social opportunities. Owning and prioritising the testing roadmap—covering subject lines, send times, content, and journey logic—you will turn results into actionable recommendations. Using performance data such as opens, clicks, conversion, retention, and incrementality, you will diagnose underperformance and propose fixes.
Additionally, you will brief, QA, and direct internal resources to extend execution capacity and build the internal narrative on what is working to support further investment in CRM.
Experience
Five or more years of hands-on experience across the full CRM and lifecycle marketing discipline, encompassing both strategic thinking and campaign execution.
Confident in using ESP or marketing automation platforms such as Iterable, Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Klaviyo, or similar, with the ability to build and QA your own campaigns and journeys.
Strong understanding of segmentation, triggers, and automation logic.
Proficient in reading performance data and translating it into clear next steps rather than just reports, with a genuine interest in continuous testing and iteration.
About you
You have an improver instinct—spotting opportunities to enhance onboarding flows or send calendars and acting on them.
Comfortable briefing and directing internal resources, and confident in building buy-in across product, brand, marketing, creative, and data teams.
A clear, honest communicator with a self-starter, can-do attitude.
Bonus points for experience in consumer subscription, membership, loyalty, ecommerce or affiliate-adjacent businesses, familiarity with incrementality or holdout testing, data querying skills, or exposure to advanced personalisation and next-best-action decisioning.
Qualifications
No formal qualifications specified; emphasis is on relevant experience, skills, and a proactive mindset.
