About the Role
As a Customer and Trading Manager, you will work closely with a small team of managers to ensure the store runs smoothly every day. You will often be the only manager on site, taking full accountability for the store's daily operations. Your role involves working alongside your team to complete all tasks efficiently and safely, ensuring customers receive excellent service. People management is a key part of the role, including managing performance and capability, conducting disciplinaries, and ensuring accurate scheduling and pay. In areas with close-knit networks of convenience stores, you may occasionally support other stores as needed.

Experience
- Previous line management responsibilities in a fast-paced, operational environment.
- Proven track record of delivering brilliant customer service and coaching colleagues to do the same.
- Experience leading a team in a customer-facing environment, motivating others, driving performance, and maintaining smooth operations.
- Operational leadership skills, including taking responsibility for store operations in the absence of senior managers.
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding KPIs such as sales, availability, customer satisfaction, or colleague engagement.
- Experience managing employee relations issues, including performance and absence management.
