
Location
Initially aligned to our Streatham Common store, London. Successful candidates may be deployed to an alternative nearby location within reasonable commuting distance. Final placement will be confirmed at offer stage, considering business requirements, travel policy, and work-life balance.
Hours
Full Time - Nightshift hours typically from 22:00 until 08:00, working 4 nights per week.
Salary
Negotiable, with a £4,500 premium on top of the base salary for nightshift work.
About the Role
As a Customer and Trading Manager on the nightshift, you will lead a team overnight to deliver all replenishment activities across the store while actively participating in prioritising deliveries, organising the warehouse, and replenishing shelves. You will often run the full store operation alone overnight, being responsible for the entire shift and the safety and wellbeing of colleagues in store. Your role ensures that standards are excellent by morning, ready to serve customers effectively. People management is a key part of the role, including managing performance and capability, conducting disciplinaries, and ensuring accurate scheduling and pay. You will be a hands-on leader, driving operational excellence and delivering brilliant customer service while coaching your team to do the same.
Experience
- Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service and coaching colleagues.
- Experience leading a team in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment, motivating others, driving performance, and maintaining smooth operations.
- Operational leadership experience, including responsibility for store operations in the absence of senior managers.
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding KPIs such as sales, availability, customer satisfaction, or colleague engagement.
- Experience managing employee relations issues, including performance and absence management.
