About the Role
Enfield has 9 libraries with over a million visitors per year and several hundred thousand items issued annually. The service is divided into two library areas, each with two main libraries and up to three smaller community libraries. The main libraries offer up-to-date books, Wi-Fi, public computers, online resources, and events programmes to encourage reading. Successful candidates will undertake a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities, working either within a team or independently. You will encourage people to make full use of the library services and assist customers in using the resources, information, and Council services available. We are passionate about delivering excellent customer service and putting our community at the heart of everything we do.

Experience
Previous customer service or library experience is desirable.

Ability to deliver excellent customer service with a genuine interest in helping people
Good IT skills and sound knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
A ‘can do’ attitude with strong attention to detail
Clear communication skills with customers and team members
Organised, methodical and able to follow instructions accurately
Empathetic and understanding
