About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Enfield Communication Advisory Support Service (ECASS) as a Speech and Language Therapist. This role is open to both newly qualified and experienced therapists. You will receive full clinical supervision and have opportunities for professional development while working alongside a multi-professional team within the Local Authority and NHS Health Partners.

The post holder will be part of the extended ECASS multi-professional team working in Additional Resource Provisions, Units, and mainstream primary and secondary schools. The aims of ECASS include improving provision for pupils with speech, language, and communication needs by providing training in class-wide and school-wide good practice frameworks, enhancing pupils’ school experience, and providing access to a range of communication tools.

The role supports early intervention approaches, promotes communication-friendly environments, and ensures parents and carers receive appropriate information and resources. You will offer practical strategies and assessments to support children and young people placed in Local Authority ARPs and Units, and support settings to meet the needs of children with speech, language, and communication needs at various levels of complexity.

Additionally, you will provide ARPs and Units with appropriate supervision models and continual professional development for the school workforce.

Enfield Council is committed to creating an environment that supports staff to deliver high quality services to vulnerable children and young people, encouraging a culture of openness, respect, responsibility, and continuous learning.
