About the Role
As the Assistant Wheelchair Operations Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day delivery of Enfield’s Wheelchair Service, helping to ensure residents with mobility needs receive a responsive, efficient and high-quality service. You will provide essential administrative, operational and financial support, acting as a first point of contact for service users, carers, healthcare professionals and partner organisations. Your responsibilities will include coordinating wheelchair repairs, servicing, deliveries and collections, maintaining accurate records and databases, processing orders and invoices, monitoring performance information, and contributing to service improvement initiatives. All duties will be carried out in compliance with council policies, information governance requirements and GDPR standards.

Requirements

Experience
Experience working in a busy customer-focused environment is essential. Experience within a wheelchair service, equipment service, healthcare, social care or a similar operational setting is advantageous. Knowledge of systems such as SAP, Neptune or APW would be beneficial.

You will demonstrate a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service and possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently and professionally with a wide range of stakeholders. You must be able to handle enquiries, requests and complaints effectively. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines are essential. You should be proactive, adaptable and solution-focused, able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook is required. Experience in maintaining accurate records using databases or case management systems is also necessary.
