
Location
Richmond, with a combination of onsite and home working. Applicants should be able to regularly travel to the Kew site for a minimum of 60% of their work time.
Hours
Full Time. Requests for part-time working, flexible working and job share will be considered, subject to operational needs.
Salary
£53,100 per annum, plus a contribution of £15,383 towards membership of the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme.
About the Role
The National Archives is seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to join the Access to Digital Records team. This role is central to delivering outstanding digital services that provide free and open access to Case Law via the national archives website. You will work within a blended multi-disciplinary product team including service owners, product owners, developers, user researchers, designers and data specialists. Your focus will be on managing delivery of robust, secure, and inclusive digital products that meet user needs, technical requirements, legal or policy constraints, and business quality expectations. The role requires balancing multiple priorities in a continuous learning environment, adapting to ambiguity and change, and fostering a positive team culture. You will support teams in becoming self-organising, coach and mentor members new to Agile ways of working, and develop product roadmaps while managing spend and forecasting progress and velocity. This is a key position contributing to the transformation and accessibility of 900 years of British history through digital innovation.
Experience
- Proven expertise and strong advocacy of Agile product delivery practices, with practical experience in a range of Agile methods, frameworks, methodologies and tools.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver user-focused, robust, secure, and inclusive digital products.
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams across one or more projects, with a proven ability to build a positive team culture.
- Skilled in developing product roadmaps, structuring and tracking work, managing budgets, and communicating progress and velocity.
- Experience supporting teams to become self-organising and coaching team members new to Agile.
- Strong diplomacy and negotiation skills to engage effectively with team members, colleagues and senior stakeholders.
